A Direct Non-destructive Method for Determination of Sulfur in Ore Samples Using EDXRF Spectrometry
نویسندگان
چکیده
A method has been developed for direct non-destructive energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) determination of sulfur in solid uranium ores and intermediates, obtained from the alkaline recovery process its ores. The involves thorough grinding a few mg powder samples to fine particle size mixing thus with drops 10% collodion solution amyl acetate make paste. very small amount this paste was transferred help pestle tip, spread uniformly form thin slurry on Mylar films, dried sample specimens film supports. These were presented EDXRF measurements. calibration plot made by plotting intensity ratios S Kα Rayliegh scattered peak excitation source (Ge Kα) against sulphur percent certified reference materials (CRMs). It found that precision using methodology within 5% (±1σ) deviation analytical results expected values CRM 7%. successfully applied different stages ore processing based leaching method.

The non-destructive Meyer method was evaluated to determine the bark volume of beech (Fagus orientalis Lipsky) stands in north of Iran. The sample size was 185 standing trees collected from 4 geographical aspects (north, south, west and east) aspects. The constant k values and bark thickness (2e mm) of 185 standing trees were used to calculate the bark volume by the Meyer method. In this study,...
متن کاملNon-destructive Method for Estimating Biomass of Plants Using Digital Camera Images
Abstract Plant growth and biomass assessments are required in production and research. Such assessments are followed by major decisions (e.g., harvest timing) that channel resources and influence outcomes. In research, resources required to assess crop status affect other aspects of experimentation and, therefore, discovery. Destructive harvests are important because they influence treatment s...
متن کاملA Portable Non-Destructive Tool for Uranium Determination in Aqueous Samples
The interest in nuclear safeguards is constantly growing, as more nuclear programs are being exposed all over the world. In this work, a simple, rapid and reliable method has been applied for the determination of uranium content in aqueous media based on using potentiometric sensor. The developed tool was found to be capable of verifying the operator declarations in a wide concentration range w...
